The Best Selection of Window Shades in Tucson

Shades differ from blinds in that a shade is generally open or closed, whereas a blind, be it horizontal or vertical can be rotated to redirect light. Shades are usually a better choice when you want a more open view. The two most common types of shades are roller shades, and honeycomb, or cellular shades.

Roller Shades

Roller shades have more patterns and opacity levels available, and many times can be done in a panel track configuration, so that your sliding glass door can be coordinated with your windows.

Honeycomb Shades

Honeycomb or cellular shades offer a tighter fit in your windows and give more insulation value. Honeycomb shades are also available in vertical application as well.

This is our second transaction with B&D. Our first interaction was a repair referral from another local blind company that couldn't/didn't want to make the repair. The transaction was flawless and professional and the memory stuck in my mind. Post three years when my wife went blind shopping I reminded her of our first experience and I suggested she give B&D a try. B&D just finished installing blinds for the entire house and the experience was a 10 out of 10. The selection process was much more enjoyable than the wait for someone to help you big box experience and installers were fantastic. Best deal in town. Started project at a different local store, without visit, estimated verticals for doorwall and window at 3k, their sales person showed up a day late. Then a famous national co. visited and estimated $1.4k. Then we stumbled on B&D on yelp. Gave firm price for $900. Same quality stuff. No sales pressure, just guidance. Very responsive, delivered and installed on schedule. Superb experience in all respects. Will use again. More importantly local family owned!

Maybe a little hard to find if you aren't familiar with that part of town but worth the effort. Bailed us out when we broke some clips on our vertical blinds on a Saturday afternoon at the start of a 4-day weekend. They know exactly what they are doing and had the parts to do our repair while we waited. On top of that, they are really nice people. Try them, you'll like them.

Google maps took me right to their location. I'm from out of state but my elderly parents have used B&D before to fix a broken blind. I was lucky enough to get there before they closed and the owner quickly did the repair in about 10 minutes. Sure saved us a lot of money. Don't replace a potential shad that B & D can repair. It won't cost you a thing to see if a repair is possible before you pay to replace. Quality store. I was very impressed and pleased. I recommend them highly.

Promptly replied to my email query as to whether they could restring one of the pleated shades in our motor home and made an appointment for us that suited our travel schedule. Service person was polite and friendly and arrived within the 3 hour window quoted for the appointment time. The job was done quickly and efficiently with no mess left behind. Very impressed as there is not a lot of room to work on RV blinds.

For blinds this is the best in the west and it is a 'One Stop Blind Shop.' My wife and I had the pleasure of Brian (the owner) come to our house to select new blinds for our living room and kitchen. Best decision we ever made. We both own businesses and constantly refer him to our customers. I highly recommend going to his showroom to check out all the different styles of blinds available, it's quite amazing what's available nowadays.

I recently had vertical blinds installed and I couldn’t be happier. Everything went so smoothly and the customer service is the best I’ve ever come across. I felt bad because twice I had appointments for the installation but due to illness had to cancel. They look great and the quality is excellent. Brian even called a few minutes ago to see how everything is and if we’re pleased with them. I’m glad we went with a store that specializes in blinds and not with Home Depot where it’s difficult to even get waited on.
