Roman shades add a soft more elegant look to your windows. There are two very distinct styles of roman shades, with variations in each. They are the flat roman and the hobbled roman. There are many fabrics to choose from, and can be customized with special trim or edge banding to really make them unique for your home.
They can also be done in a woven wood or grass fabric for a more rustic look.
Here at B&D we prefer a more traditional roman shade made in a drapery workroom, as opposed to the assembly line approach that you might find at the box stores. Stop into our showroom or give us a call and we will come to you.
Drapes, Side Panels, Top Treatments
Drapes, side panels, and top treatments are a wonderful way to dress up your windows. Once you have covered your window to control the light the way that you want, it's time to consider how to dress them.
Side Panels are much like drapes but are not designed to be open or closed. They are there to add color and elegance to your room. Drapes can be done in place of blinds or as an additional layer to block more light and add more energy efficiency.
Top treatments, like the side panels add that special touch to your windows to make them unique to your home and your style.
There are many styles to choose from and can be done in almost any fabric you like. If we don't have what you are looking for, we can send your own fabric into our workroom and have them made into anything you like, including matching pillows to complete the look. Stop into our showroom or give us a call and we will come to you.
Roller shades offer excellent light control and a clean look, making them ideal for any room in your home or office.
Horizons offers several roller shade types, including:
Spring Roller Shade – The Spring Roller is the classic, time-tested, cordless operating system for roller shades. You simply grasp the shade by its bottom hem and pull it down to whatever length you want. A gentle tug releases the spring's lock and allows the shade to be easily raised.
Clutch Roller Shade – The Clutch Roller system is operated by an easy chain control. Pull the front chain to raise the shade; pull the back shade to lower it. A constant tension clutch stops the shade wherever you want it to stay. The Clutch system is also known for easier operation on larger sized shades.
Clutch roller shades are also available in a Cassette style and a Fascia style, featuring matching finishes for an added decorative look.
